Thank you Father, Oh thank you so much!

Updated: Aug 13, 2025

My heart and mind were overwhelmed with His love for me.

This story begins with its roots in the teaching of “God doesn’t give us our wants, but he has promised to supply all our needs.” Philippians 4:19

I’m sure you have also heard this, subconsciously believed it.

This teaching has given us such a wrong concept of who God is. A severe authoritarian but benevolent God, who is not concerned with the desires of His children, especially if they are not directly aligned with the way in which He wants things to go; That if the desires are not for the furtherment of His kingdom, you better forget it.

When I wrote the first “Beryl” book, I really wanted a piece of Beryl stone. A large golden yellow Heliodor, just like Beryl in my books.

I looked in jewellers. I looked online, but all I could find were the small pale yellow, greenish stones. They didn’t have the lustre and glow I was looking for.

Seven years have gone by since then. Occasionally though, I still looked.

Then, something happened.

The ways of God are so far above my ways, who can fathom them? Romans 11:33 – 36

Nearly 20 years ago, I bought a pink topaz pendant off a start up jewellery website (no, don’t ask for the link – it closed in 2012).

I really liked that pendant – It matched my fave lipstick!

But somewhere, I lost that pendant. All I can think is that the enhancer clip came undone and it came off the chain. Despite looking everywhere, phoning around to see if anyone had found it, nothing. It had gone. Completely vanished.

Eventually, after laying an insurance claim, I discovered my natural pink topaz was worth upwards of a few thousand dollars!

The search to replace the pretty little pink topaz pendant began.

NO ONE had a natural pink topaz. No one could even find one to remake the pendant.

I trawled through copious jewellers websites. Nothing.

Then on a whimsy, that longing for my own piece of Beryl popped back up, and I put BERYL into a jewellers website.

AND THERE IT WAS

“Waiting on the jewellers bench for me to pick him up” (A Stone in my Sandal P.17 – 19

I went back and checked all the other jewellers stores again. No pink topaz. No golden yellow Beryl.

Nada. All. Zilch.

Except in Walker & Hall, Silverdale branch. One gorgeous, large, golden yellow Beryl pendant.

I will admit my hand was shaking as I phoned to check the pendant was still available and made an appointment to go and see the beautiful Beryl that was within the insurance payout limit.

Stan came with me. “I’m not getting the stone if it’s not alive,” I told him. He knew exactly what I meant.

Another sacred cow has now been slaughtered. All those years of believing that vibrations, frequencies and resonances were ‘evil’ without understanding that everything God made, has its own frequency. (Ask science – they are now proving it)

All those verses in the Bible that told us the truth and we chose to ignore it.

- Even the stones will cry out

- The hills will skip like little lambs

- The trees clap their hands.

So many references that we in our dullness didn’t see.

I held that little Beryl stone in my hand and waited for the alignment of Heaven and Stone to speak to my heart. Then I handed it to Stan for his verdict. He let the pendant cool down, before holding it in his hand. “It’s warm,” he pronounced.

And so it was. That Beryl had been reserved throughout all time, just to come to me.

As Cathy, Margaret, and Lorraine stood and watched what would be an amazing miracle for me, I felt surrounded by their love, their kindness. In all my years of peering at pretty things in jewellers stores, I have never come across anyone in those stores who tried their hardest to make my dream come true.

Yes, this is a shameless plug for Walker and Hall Silverdale NZ, but these ladies truly deserve an accolade.

They may not have been aware of it, but they were being as Jesus to me in that moment.

Kindness, love, and happiness.

Thank you so much ladies. Thank you for your love.

Thank you, Papa God, because you love to give your children good gifts. You love to adorn your family in beauty.

I AM BERYL

I welcome you Beryl. You sit on my breastplate, as part of my promises from Father God. I treasure you.
