In between caring for Dad – happy 96th birthday for Tuesday Dad, doing my gardening and making jams, jellies, chutneys and relishes, a certain something happened.
While himself was snoring, I was laying awake staring at the ceiling – as you do at 3am – suddenly the Living Letters from the mouth of God started dancing in front of me.
I watched in delight as they danced out of the Father’s heart and showed me my next book. Me, in my wisdom, thought I’d be writing No.4 of the “I Am Beryl” series, but no, this is going to be something completely different!
So different that it caught me by surprise.
The Living Letters dancing the story in front of me, and all I have to do, is to lay hold of it, allow it to rest in my heart, and then start writing what I saw.
How privileged am I?!
This isn’t going to be easy to write. As Dad ages, his cares grow more persistent, and my time and thoughts are often divided.
So, here’s to saying goodbye to Stans' and my leisurely mornings, to disciplining myself and locking myself in my study, to chase after the heart of Father God.
I guess I’ll see you in about a year?!
There is nothing more precious than that time alone with Him.
